Congratulations – More festival Success

We were delighted that Chloe Badham won best youth actress for her portrayal of Candice in Screw Your Courage at this year’s Bedfordshire One Act play festival. We were also delighted that Kirsty Badham won Best actress for her four parts in Floaters. This is the fifth year running that we have won awards of some sort at the festival, and the third year running that we have won best youth actress.

Congratulations also to Stephen Bowie who won best youth Actor for his role in a Barton Players production

Screw Your Courage

We were delighted with the performance and the reception we received on Sunday for our performance of “Screw Your Courage”. We look forward to performing it at the Bedfordshire One Act Play festival on Friday 27th April at Haynes Village Hall at 7.30pm

We are delighted to have entered into partnership once more with Priory Lower School in Bedford on their latest project. We will be working with years three and four over the next five weeks to create a production on the theme of War….we can’t wait to get started next week.

We started back today at Templefield lower School, and it was great to see everyone after their break. We are back at Flitwick Lower School tomorrow and our evening session on Thursday starts again in Barton. Happy New Year to everyone connected with Up-Stage…it’s going to be the best year yet!

To the casts and crews of Robin Hood and Romeo and Juliet for two outstanding performances at The Grove Theatre in Dunstable on Sunday. Robin Hood played to a raucous and appreciative panto audience and then Romeo and Juliet to an entranced audience. The representative from the Royal Shakespeare Company Open Stages scheme was hugely impressed with the production.
